Nothing is more relaxing than laboring in the comfort and security of your own home. Surrounded by the people you love and under the watchful eyes of midwives women can let go and surrender to the birth process.
Carol and another midwife will come to your home around 35 – 36 weeks. In addition to conducting the regular prenatal assessments we go over your birth plan. While we are there we insure your birth kit has arrived and you have gathered the necessary supplies. We may offer suggestions for where to set up your birth pool and make sure we know where the washer and dryer are so we can warm blankets for you and your new baby just as soon as he or she is in your arms.
We wash any soiled linen before we leave and bag up any disposable items. Two Certified Professional Midwives licensed by the state of Texas will attend your birth and bring all the equipment necessary to conduct a safe and comfortable birth.
